Bryan Davies – Full Time Professional Photographer

  • Graduated from Humber College in Photography and Visual Communications
  • Co-op work placement at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park – Photography and Slide Shows
  • Joined the Audio-Visual team at Georgian College, Barrie, ON – performed studio and location photography as well the creation of educational slide, voice overs and instructional video programs
  • Ontario Media Directors Award for a 15 minute slide sound presentation on Windsurfing
  • Resident Nature Photographer at Kortright Centre. Photography and pioneered their Outdoor Photography Workshops
  • Still photographer on an episode of CBC-TV’s The Nature of Things with David Suzuki
  • Hosted Outdoor Photography Workshops and taught Nature and Landscape Photography at Georgian College, Barrie, ON
  • Traveled to the Island of Montserrat to host a photography workshop of an active volcano.
  • Founded Bryan Davies Photography Studio, 2002. Creemore`s first professional photography studio and gallery.
  • Enjoyed travel photography in France, Fiji, New Zealand, Tuscany, Mexico, Arizona and Cuba to create Fine Art Prints.
  • Wrote travel photography articles for local magazines and newspapers
  • Authored three photography books: Doorways of Mexico, Visions of China and Creemore Classics (Classic Cars and Trucks)
  • Invited to Beijing for the opening of `Canadian Cameras at Work` in which my `Father and Son` print was featured in a group exhibit that traveled to ten cities in China.
  • Commissioned by Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre’s Corporate Communications Office to document the construction of Rotary House and RVH Regional Cancer Care Centre during three years of on-site visits
  • Photographed the construction of Hospice Georgian Triangle`s Campbell House, a Palliative Care Facility and produced a ten minute DVD slide show for fundraising.
  • Photographer and C0-Chair of Public Relations Committee for The Rotary Club of Wasaga Beach
  • Developed a young people’s Photography Club at Ray’s Place Youth Resource Centre in Creemore.
  • One of nine professional photographers commissioned by Regional Tourism Organization (RTO) 7 to photograph people, events and places of interest in Simcoe, Grey and Bruce Counties. All the images for this four season project now reside in a Digital Image Bank for use in Ontario Tourism Marketing.
  • Quid Pro Quo Photography for Habitat For Humanity, Water First and Hospice GT, New Addition Construction 2016
  • Authored a new coffee table book titled : “Exploring The Light: My Visual Journey”, listed on Amazon.ca and major retailers.
  • Photography Instructor, Spaulding School of the Arts, Wasaga Beach.
  • Volunteer Photographer for the HHART 9, 10 and 11 Humanitarian Missions to impoverished Haitian villages in Dominican Republic. We created 60 family portraits for the people of Cangrejo, DR. Please see my blog bryandavies.com/ blog for more information
